UM iWeek 2020 Strengthen The Networking Between Partner Universities

Universiti Malaya (UM) is proud to present its first virtual International Week (UM iWeek 2020) which has brought the participation of its local and international partner universities.
With a theme of “Embracing Diversity for a Better Tomorrow”, UM iWeek 2020 is a platform for students and staff, both local and international, to be united in an event despite the uncertainty of the current situation. The virtual week is designed as an intensive week focusing on Study Abroad Opportunities, Knowledge Sharing as well as Cultural Exchange.
Amongst the activities organised today was the Opening of the UM iWeek 2020, Malaysian Arts & Heritage Session hosted by the Curator of University Malaya Art Gallery (UMAG), Dr. Hazlin Anita Zainal Abidin, Malay Language Class by Dr. Mardian Shah Omar and Live Sharing Session with partner universities, University of West Bohemia, Czech Republic and HS Dusseldorf, Germany. Each session has brought more than 100 participants, both local and international.
The upcoming interesting activities throughout UM iWeek 2020 are Malaysian Dance Workshop, Ethnic Heritage: The Peranakans, The Malaysian Recipe, Chinese Painting Workshop, Virtual Education Exhibition and Staff training.
The event was officiated earlier today virtually by UM Vice Chancellor, Dato’ Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor.
