Homestay Parit Bugis, Johor

1. Welcoming ceremony
2. Traditional games
3. Traditional food preparation
4. Local food factories
5. Local museums
6. Local palm oil plantation
7. Local cultural performance

Attire:
1. Sportswear and decent cloths
2. Hiking shoes

Special Preparation:
1. Bring extra clothes as students
will get wet in water activity
2. Bring along mosquito repellent
3. Bring along toiletries and bath
towel.


Breakfast, lunch, tea break & dinner

Homestay Seri Tanjung, Melaka

Date: 3 & 4 November 2018

Activities for 2 Days 1 Night:

Experience the real kampung way of
life at Seri Tanjung Village. Twice
winner of National beautiful
competition.

There are activities like traditional
massage, photography session,
coconut plucking, rubber tapping,
handicraft making.

Turtle conservation centre,
handicrafts centre, plantations

Attire:

2. Comfortable shoes and slippers

Homestay Bang Huris, Sepang Selangor

Date: 24 & 25 November 2018

Activities for 2 Days 1 Night:
1. Visit to traditional  local industries
2. Learn and cook traditional food
3. Learn to make kites
4. Play traditional games
5. Learn batik painting
6. Learn to tap rubber
7. Pluck palm oil fruit

Attire:

2. Comfortable shoes and slippers

Homestay Kg. Lonek, Negeri Sembilan

Date: 1 & 2 December 2018
No. of students: 80






Activities for 2 Days 1 Night:

Kampung Lonek, once a champion
for the KP most beautiful village
competition, is home to a group of
industrious folks who work the paddy
fields, tend to fruit orchards and run
several small industries producing
handicrafts made of rattan, pandan,
mengkuang and bamboo.

There are activities like traditional
games, cooking demonstrations,
nature-exploration activities, fishing,
cultural shows, handicrafts.

1. Sportswear and decent cloths
2. Comfortable shoes and slippers

Special Preparation:
1. Bring extra clothes as students
will get wet in water activity
2. Bring along mosquito repellent
3. Bring along toiletries and bath
towel.


Breakfast, lunch, tea break & dinner

Important Notes:

  1. International Exchange students are entitled to participate in ONE homestay programme only and it will be on first come first serve basis
  2. Registration for others is prohibited and registration can only be submitted once, and changes are not allowed to avoid any confusion or name duplication
  3. Upon registration of the programme, students MUST attend the programme. Students who have registered and failed to turn up for the programme will be penalized and barred from participating in future programmes.
  4. Students are required to abide by the rules and regulations being set by the university as well as the homestay management.
  5. Students are required to ensure their safety and security at all times and the university is not to be held liable for any damages, injuries or other losses sustained during the course of these activities.
  6. The meeting point for the pickup will be at 10th Residential College Main Gate and students are required to assemble by 8.30 a.m.
  7. Students may contact the accompanying official for each program for further details.
  8. Homestay Programs are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and any deferment or postponement of change of date and venue will be let known to students.
